Executive Assistant to support Chief Operation Officer (COO)
Exceptional communication, grammar, organization and time management skills. Good analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail is a must. The ability to work independently, make decisions and take initiative with minimal direction. Proven success in prioritizing and completing multiple projects on a time-sensitive basis.
Skills: Excellent organizational skills. Must be highly organized and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook skills required. Strong project management skills with the ability to complete assignments with limited supervision within tight time frames. 5+ plus years of Executive level Administrative experience required. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

SUMMARY OF
RESPONSIBILITES:
This position requires
interacting with the public and providing administrative
and clerical services for the executive staff of the
president’s office. Duties include managing the
president’s complex calendar (Outlook Exchange), daily
email flow and office mailings; taking care of heavy
meeting arrangements; drafting, editing, typing, copying
and mailing correspondence, proposals, reports, and
other documents; facilitating communication between and
among the president, vice president, members of the
board of trustees, senior and department managers,
support staff and the public; maintenance of Seminary
master calendar; coordination of executive office filing
system and preservation of key documents; assisting with
the preparation of mailings and special events;
supervising a part time office assistant; ordering
supplies; submitting invoices and tracking
reimbursements. Much of the work has a confidential
element.
This is a full-time position.
Compensation is competitive based on commensurate
experience. Comprehensive benefits package is
offered.
Requirements The
person selected may or may not have a college degree,
but will possess substantial hands-on experience in the
type of organization where they need to be many things
to many people. Excellent planning, organizational,
interpersonal, and communication skills are essential.
Must have an appreciation and understanding of the
intellectual, spiritual, social and political culture of
a progressive interdenominational theological school as
well as a high tolerance for differences expressed with
strong conviction and must enjoy working at a
high-energy, high-motivational level.
