Responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems, to ensure target production quantity and quality.
To manage plant utilities.
To oversee Environment, Health and Safety systems and practices.
Major Deliverables:
Initiates, implements, and manages the plant maintenance program based on best practices in metal industry, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
Ensures that maintenance engineers and technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant and participate in objective setting, plan, and development and performance review of plant.
Monitoring the use of inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary.
Ensures updated operating and training manuals for the maintenance department.
Coordinates activities with Production Departments.
Ensures participation by the maintenance technicians in the implementation of QA policies and procedures.
Job Specifications -
Essential:
Educational Qualification: B.E (Electrical) and must be well versed in computers.
In-depth knowledge of plant maintenance and equipments, experience of 7 to 12 years in maintenance, including exposure to mechanical maintenance in the recent 3 years.
Should have experience in liaising with relevant government offices.
Should have experience in monitoring and improving EHS issues at a plant.
