M/s Chandra Metals Ltd based in Allahabad in
northern India.
Chandra Group has been
associated with non-ferrous metals and conductors
for the last 35 years, and is poised to enter the
electrical and transmission energy
sector.
M/s Chandra Metals Ltd is the
flagship company dealing with Indian Railways and
various industrial giants like BHEL, Areva T&D
Ltd, IRCON, L&T, Tata Power, to name a few.
Since the last several years the company has been
accredited with ISO 9001:2000. The products of the
company are manufactured strictly according to the
norms of RDSO, ISO 9001. The major product range
includes Cadmium Copper Catenary Wires, Hard Drawn
Grooved Copper Contact Wires, Pure Jumper /
Dropper Wire, Pure Strips / Flats / Profiles, and
Paper Insulated Copper Conductors.
Based in
India, Chandra Proteco Ltd manufactures a wide
range of copper products like Continuously
Transposed Conductors (CTC), Ventilated Transposed
Conductors (VCTC), Copper Bus Bars, Oxygen Free
Rods, Enameled and Glass-covered Strips and
contact wires. The company has been established on
a technology transfer by Proteco SAS
Italy.
Chandra Proteco Ltd pioneered the
production of CTC in India. This was a giant leap
towards modernization in the service of nation.
The use of CTC dramatically improved the
performance of transformers. It was a
long-awaited, important substitution for the
transformers in the country. We are proud to
present the world with the ventilated CTC, a first
from India. This unique product, though still not
widely used, is expected to be used extensively in
the future, due to its excellent cooling
efficiency.
