Oxygen-Free, High-Conductivity Copper (OFHC) is produced by the direct conversion of refined high quality copper cathode. LME Grade A (purity 99.95%), is made by melting and casting under strictly controlled conditions under vacuum or CO gas oxidization to prevent exposure to air during processing.
OFHC ensures extra high grade copper wire with an oxygen content less than 10 ppm. OFHC has a higher electrical and thermal conductivity, higher recrystallization temperature and workability than normal copper.
